Jag har haft förmånen att tillbringa slutet för 2020 och början till 2021 med min käraste partner och hennes barn.
Medan hela världen befinner sig i pandemi. En pandemi som agerar som en maestro i en global orkester som spelar apokalyptiska symfonier, medan vi njöt av att lyssna till Feiruz , och medan de mörka utsikterna för framtidens ekonomier svepte över sociala medierna, vi åtnjöt det blåa himmelen och den gassande solens budskap med dess klara besked.
Du min medmänniskan som är fylld av oro! titta upp med trons ögon , och se hur underbart livet är! Jag förnekar inte att världen är fylld av utmaningar av alla sorter och storlekar, men påminn mig... när var det sista gången som situationen i världen var full av fred och ekonomisk välstånd för Alla dess invånare ?
Jag tror att denna pandemin kommer att öppna ögonen för de människor som har levt under en lång tid i fred och välstånd utan att behöva att bemöta den tuffa verkligheten som har drabbat andra människor i andra delar av världen .
Jag har växt upp Libanon på sextiotalet ,. Min första erfarenhet av krig var 1967 . I den så kallade sexdagars kriget mellan Israel och Arabvärlden. Sedan dess har jag upplevt fem andra krig mellan 1973-1987.
Det jag har lärt mig av alla dessa konflikter ( inklusive Coronapandemin) är mina dyrbara verktyg och min räddning för att hantera dagens utmaningar och framtidens utmaningar.
Jag har många fantastiska planer för 2021. Trots svåra saker att hantera, och trots problem som jag kan inte lösa på egenhand, mitt hopp växer och min fokus i det blåa himmelen blir skarpare än någonsin, även om de mörka och tjocka molnen täcker solen för den som inte tror.
Det som inte dödar, det härdar. Och den som inte tror , låt dem tro vad de vill.
Fikonträdet utan fikon... ja... den är good for nothing. eller i bästa fallet är bra för en brasa.
